Because I decided to do an MBA in May 2008 and was aiming for the first admission round due in October, my plan had to be very straighforward and efficient.

I quickly registered for the TOEFL and sat for the test on June 11th (scored 113 iBT).

Then, I took care of the other things:

• School selection
• GMAT
• Essays
• Recommendations
• Interviews
• Focus on HEC (conclusion feedback added after my studies to help applicants to this MBA)

Please note that the work wasn’t sequential. Essays help clarify the “Why an MBA?” question and retrofeed into the school selection.
